Hi! I am Gerardo Cuellar, Graphic Designer and Visual Journalist with a unique trajectory that merges digital marketing precision with the raw, honest stroke of editorial illustration. Since 2012, my career has been a journey of translating complex messages into high-impact digital experiences.
After earning my Master’s in Digital Marketing and spending years in the commercial design world, 2019 marked a pivotal shift: I decided to strip away the noise and let illustration become my primary language.

Since 2024, my role at CTR Scientific has allowed me to live at the intersection of rigorous science and visual storytelling. Working daily alongside researchers and collaborating with global giants like Thermo Fisher Scientific, Lhasa Limited, Waters, and Merck, I have specialized in Scientific Illustration. I don't just draw; I translate high-level data and technical concepts into simple, visceral images that anyone can understand.
My goal is to bring this expertise to the world of Visual Journalism. I am ready to collaborate with international editorial desks—from Opinion columns and Newsletters to deep-dive Science features—transforming intricate social and scientific global issues into clear, powerful visual metaphors.
